Literacy & NCEA TrainingWhat makes us different
In 2007, World Moving was asked to be involved with Tranzqual (since merged with MITO – NZ Motor Industry Training Organisation) to develop a nationally recognised qualification. In 2010 we completed a 3 year development programme with Tranzqual and launched a National Certificate in Relocations.
The National Certificate in Relocation Operations (domestic and international) was registered on the National Qualifications Framework by Tranzqual ITO in 2010 and developed with an Industry Advisory Group (IAG), comprising experts from across the Relocations Industry (including Raymond Dobbe from World Moving and Storage) – lifting both the skill level and professionalism in the industry.
Since then World Moving has successfully implemented a training program in our workplace to ensure competencies are met and to identify areas of required training and support for our staff to gain the National Certificate. The company has also supported two of our staff to become qualified workplace assessors. We have successfully trained and assessed a number of staff who now hold National Certificates – World’s staff are the first trainees in the country to have been awarded National Certificates in Relocations.
Our goal is for all operational staff to hold a National Certificate once they reach their two year anniversary with the company, continuing to invest in the personal development of staff and enabling them to become qualified professionals.
This reinforces our commitment to the continual up-skilling of staff for quality service delivery. We have a highly qualified, skilled workforce professionally trained in the packing and moving of your personal items. We are proud to have a stable, long term team with a low damage rate to provide fast, efficient moves.
Achievements are proudly celebrated as a company with an awards presentation at social events.
The Workplace literacy and numeracy programme is a training programme designed to educate in skills to complete everyday tasks including speaking, listening, ready, writing, maths, completing forms, using technology, solving problems and making decisions. The programme provides employees with the confidence to perform tasks to the maximum of their ability. Our employees are being paid their regular salary during this time. This is estimated to cost $40,000 in total.
